Learning to Live Again Grief and Trauma Counseling is here to accompany you and assist you in navigating these winding roads. Our goal is to provide you with a toolbox of effective resources to help you find your way. We specialize in the treatment of grief and trauma, with specialized training in first responder and veteran culture. We aim to break through stigma, overcome trauma, process grief and loss, and learn to live again. Welcome to our clinic. We are glad you are here.

Learning to Live Again is conveniently located in Southaven, Mississippi at 6858 Swinnea Road, Building 3, Suite B. We share an office with DeSoto Psychiatric, Orr Counseling, and By Grace Counseling.

In an effort to keep our costs low and to support mental health accessibility we are not presently accepting insurance. We do have special pricing for clients on Medicare. Additionally, we have special low and no out of pocket costs for our veterans, active military, and all first responders.

Trauma & Grief Therapist

I am a certified trauma and grief specialist with experience in organ and tissue donation, hospice, the treatment of PTSD. I am skilled in working with nurses and medical providers. I also understand the cultural and stigmas influencing veterans and first responders in their jobs, attempts to integrate in civilian life, and fears of seeking mental health treatment.

I am a mental health therapist, a nationally certified counselor, a certified trauma professional, and a certified advanced grief counseling specialist. I specialize in the treatment of trauma and grief for clients ages 18 and up. I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a approaching the end of my doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision. My commitment is to providing client with compassionate care and excellent education. It's about helping clients learn more about themselves, their mind and body, and developing tools to learn to live again after traumatic and heartbreaking experiences. 

When you find yourself experiencing what you hoped you would never have to endure, I am here to companion you in your journey. to healing. My office is a safe and nurturing environment where you can feel heard and in control. I utilize a person-centered approach where I truly listen to your feelings and your needs. Then I will support you as we work together to find ways to help you heal. My office is the place where you can drop off that heavy baggage and learn how not to pick it back up when you leave.
